The plot is corner site on Anegundi road in Mysore. The requirement a retail space on the ground floor and budget friendly residential accommodation on the floor above. The challenge however was that the plot was a triangle

TO address the issue, the pointy side was used to incorporate a foyer and the straircase, leaving a more even space for the residential use. The site sloped upto 4 feet from one side to the other, which could have resulted in costly refilling and excavation but a stilt parking solved the issue easily.

The completed projects houses 6 compact two bedroom apartments across 3 floors a 1600 sq ft retail space and sufficient parking for 4 cars.

Adding a little panache to the elevation is the corner staircase highlighted by customized metal cladding tiles, which gives the project its name!
